The Giants and the Smalls Film Bible
PROJECT: The Giants and the Smalls
TYPE: 2D Animated Film
GENRE: Animated Fantasy
DEMO: This movie has three target audiences> Children, ages 7+, are at an age of keeping up with more complex and message-based storylines like Frozen, Wall E, Inside Out, Happy Feet, and more.
The second group are young adults between the ages of 18 and 24. This age group grew up with an affinity for Disney, Pixar, Warner Brother, Dreamworks, and Walden Media Style movies. They are also beginning to have their own children and have a desire to pass on the tradition. Additionally, many of this age are graduating college and preparing to step out into a Giant world.
The third demographic are parents and grandparents ages 35 to 65, who are heavily engaged with providing their children and grandchildren tools and education for a fulfilled life. Many are educators, therapists, authors, and coaches. Many of these in this demographic are doing their own inner child healing and desire to pass on tools to help their children become emotionally stable during childhood development. They are mostly found in the United States. English speaking. Mid to upper class income levels.
TONE/STYLE: Optimistic. Inspirational. Gentle. Impassioned.
“Is this all there is to life, staying small and afraid, not standing out or being different? Who would want to be small forever?”
“Mustering up a small amount of courage and trusting that he was making the right choice,
Ritt shook off these fearful thoughts and moved on. Ritt approached a Giant. His whole body shivered as he looked up. The Giant's head was well above the clouds. Ritt approached the massive being and began to climb…”
“My friend, I was born a Small just like you. At first,” said the Giant, “I didn’t think I could measure up to my parents’ stature even though they taught me their ways from childhood. It took me years before I finally believed. When I finally started doing what they had told me all
along, you know what happened?” Ritt looked the Giant straight in the eyes and asked, “What?”
“Well, I began to grow.”
Ritt couldn’t speak. The view was so amazing that all he could do was look. Rimi said,
“Ritt, A Giant sees what a Small might never see. A Giant sees the beauty in everything, while a
Small only sees what’s wrong. A Giant sees opportunity in every moment, and a Small only sees problems.”
TAGLINE: Are you a Giant or are you a Small?
LOGLINE: Ritt is a Small who believes he is capable of more. Rimi is a Giant, living his highest potential, and knows the secrets to becoming one. It’s an inspirational fantasy about living up to our highest potential. It begins in a world like ours zoomed in on McBronze Rittinshanks (Ritt), a Small, who while eating pea soup and crackers, wonders if the way he is living is all there is to life. Once Ritt takes on this journey, there is no going back to playing Small. And there’s a twist! Every Small can become Giant, but they have simply forgotten how.
SYNOPSIS: The Giants and the Smalls revolves around two groups of people—Smalls and Giants—and their thought processes and beliefs. Smalls remain small in size, thought, and lifestyle because their beliefs are narrow, whereas Giants are large in all aspects because they think broadly and progressively. This is a story about Ritt, a Small, and Rimi, a Giant.
Ritt is a Small who aspires to become a Giant and is willing to put in the work. Rimi is a friendly Giant who introduces Ritt to the world of Giants. Ritt's character gradually develops through the course of the book, and we get to see the change in his thought processes, step by step.
Moral lessons are imparted as dialogues between the main characters. The main idea of each section of the story is summarized at the bottom of the page.
THE WORLD: Beyond the night sky and further than the faintest star, past the darkest part of the heavens, is a world so big it would make our Earth look like a single grain of sand. The inhabitants of this great sphere lived strange lives that were, to a certain degree, like ours, but the most curious thing about them was that some were Giants, and many were Smalls.
The Giants and Smalls lived amongst each other and shared the world as so many of us
do. They breathed the same air, had the same opportunities, and in many ways, were similar. However, they were massively different in size.

THEMES: The movie sends a clear and powerful message: You can be whatever you want to be. You only need to believe in yourself and work toward your goal relentlessly.
WHY NOW: We are living in a world rattled by poverty, fear, pandemics, and war. Individuals around the world are left in uncertainty about the future. There is unprecedented hopelessness, and many are left with a sense of smallness in a Giant world. This amazing story is packed with a message that is so needed today. This book is a world-changer. It has the recipe to develop in both adults and children a mindset that creates a deeply fulfilling and extraordinarily successful life. It helps people remember their Giant potential and to live into it fully. Doing this will change the world.
